  1) It&#039;s not clear Gov. Palin thinks humans influence the climate.
  2) It is clear she wants to completely remove the existing state gas taxes.
  3) Every Governor wants to return taxes to their constituents as much as possible, and Alaska is in a unique position both with their large natural resource rents and non-contigous location. I think the dividend in Alaska is less about energy and more about equity.
  4) Gov. Palin is on the record saying she does not think renewables are the solution and drilling is.
  Let&#039;s hope we get a renewed discussion from this, but it seems like a longshot.</description>
